The Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of Human Factors or Clinical/Counseling Psychology, with appointment beginning Fall 2025
Responsibilities: This position will involve teaching undergraduate/graduate level courses in either Human Factors, while contributing to the Human Factors concentration in the Applied Experimental Psychology doctoral program, or Clinical/Counseling Psychology, contributing to both the BA in Psychology, which is counseling focused, and the newly planned Master’s in Counseling Program. Tenure-track faculty are expected to conduct and publish high-quality scholarly research in a collegial environment where both intra- and inter-disciplinary collaborations and the pursuit of external funding are valued.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Human Factors or Clinical/Counseling Psychology is required. Candidates with a Clinical/Counseling background should be license eligible. Candidates should demonstrate an established research program, with the potential to obtain external funding, and excellence in teaching.
